Traditions, family, friends, and most of all, food are “center stage” as we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving this week. As with any day, our “local farm to table” Thanksgiving feast will actually be “global” thanks to the hard work and entrepreneurial spirit of farmers far and wide who are honoring traditions and committed to preserving their farms. Check out my latest issue of The AgriNutrition Edge Report, where I reflect on my visits with three such farmers in two continents: a tea farmer in Japan and two Pennsylvania-based mushroom farms.
This issue also highlights the annual Farm Bureau Thanksgiving Food cost survey showing that the cost of our typical Thanksgiving meal remains affordable thanks to the hard work and sacrifices of our farmers. To receive my newsletter via email sign up here
