woman looking at package labels at grocery storeHappy New Year! The first 2022 issue of The AgriNutrition Edge Report is out with a focus on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s new national bioengineered label, which is designed to supersede non-GMO standards enacted by individual states. Read about how this new standard is being received and how consumers will view these various labels. I also review a new book by RDN colleague and internationally recognized author Rosanne Rust. Zero Waste Cooking For Dummies is an easy-to-use guide that provides motivation for all of us to reduce personal food waste.

As we turn the calendar to a new year, I remain intentional about bringing an ag and nutrition perspective, along with the “rest of the story,” on food and ag issues in a way that provides “food for thought,” information and perhaps even a little debate. Thank you for being part of the journey!
