Marianne Smith Edge will deliver the kickoff keynote address for The Power of Women as AgVocates Conference, being held January 14-15 in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. In her address “The Power of Dialogue and Understanding Policy and Consumer Insights” and a later session on communications, Marianne will share how women in agriculture can “agvocate” for the industry. The conference, hosted by the South Dakota State University Extension, provides women in agriculture the opportunity to network, learn and grow with peers at a female-empowered event. “This conference is designed for women to learn about the power of advocating for you, your family, business and industry,” says Robin Salverson, SDSU Extension Cow/Calf Field Specialist.
